School, Farm and Church
I was raised on the family farm in Auglaize Township and am still active in the farm operation. I enjoyed participating in 4-H and FFA and showed livestock at the Allen County Fair. My daughters also showed at the fair and now my oldest granddaughter is in her first year of 4-H. There have been four generations of the Winegardner family involved in 4-H and showing livestock at the fair.
I graduated from Allen East in 1987 and am proud to be a 2021 Allen East Hall of Fame inductee. School was an important part of my life and as an adult I gave back to the community that gave me so much by being a school board member from 2006 to 2013 and volunteering as varsity softball coach from 2000 to 2003.
I am a devout Christian, pro-life, and an active member of Lima First Church where I have served as board member, deacon, and on the security team. I am currently an altar worker on the prayer team.

In 1998, I was honored to be selected as Deputy of the Year by the VFW.
I am a supporter of the Second Amendment.
